About Me

Amy Parker

Transforming the world, one woman at a time

My mission is to leave every woman I encounter with a revelation of who she is in Christ and help her discover the power that lives inside of her through the Holy Spirit. John said ” I have no greater joy than to see my children walking in truth” (1 John 5:3). I have no greater joy than to see my sisters empowered by truth. It is my heart’s desire to see women not only informed of the truth of God’s Word, but to grow and be transformed by the application of  it. Come along side me and let’s journey through the Word together. Let me help you discover your superpower!

Writer, Teacher, Mentor

There’s a lot of hats on my hat rack as I’m sure there are yours. We are all so busy! First and foremost, I’m a passionate pursuer of Christ. I am a student of the Word and many other things, including life itself. I love the written word; books have been my safe zone my whole life. Professionally speaking I am a graduate of Colorado Christian University with a BA in Creative Writing, completed the Biblical Counseling Certificate program at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth Texas. I am a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for the State of Tennessee where I get to use my lived experience of having overcome a life-dominating sin to build bridges to other women who still suffer and I recently earned a certification as a Prevention Specialist where I get to educate youth and adults about the dangers of drug use. I serve at our church as mental health ministry coordinator. In years past, I have written plays for my church twice, a play for a group of inmates, and church news for our small town paper. I have published devotionals for Devozine and The Secret Place. I once worked for our local papers (The Tri-City Reporter and The Herald Gazette), covering city board meetings for six towns and wrote several feature articles for local businesses and events during that time. I recently published my mental health journey, Victory Over Suicidal Tendencies: Fostering the Human Connection, a story that puts a microscope over my experience of intergenerational trauma, suicidality, and addiction and highlights the necessity of human connection. You can read it here. https://oc87recoverydiaries.org/author/amy-parker/ . This article will explain why I love interacting with women so much both in person and with online readers. I also published an article for the Memphis Storyboard entitled Tidal Wave – an early morning undoing of raw emotion in the wake of the Liza Fletcher kidnapping in 2022. I am married to a military man and our perfectly imperfect blended and biracial family yields seven grown children and seven grandchildren. When I am not writing or studying, I love traveling and spending time with family and friends and I especially love dragging them to women’s conferences all over the country with me. My favorite time of year is any day I’m alive, but in the fall I love firepits, smores, and theatre. There are simply not enough hours in the day for all the life I try to live! It’s an abundant life for sure!
